wore 417 Squadron's red, white, and blue color scheme for the "Starfighter Close-out" and 417's disbandment in 1983; struck off service December 31, 1990
Loaned to Reynolds-Alberta Museum at Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada until 31. December 1991,
no note on aircraft record card, but the loan must have been extended or else it was handed over permanently,
because it's still at the museum repainted in May 1993; was "upgraded" to fictional (incorrect) FIP (Federal Identity Programme) titles and markings
with the "Canada" wordmark etc used instead of the simpler "CANADA" and "CAF" it originally wore in 1983; July 2008 last noted
On display at The Reynolds Aviation Museum at Wetaskiwin Airport in this special color scheme for the disbandment of 417 Sqn in 2001

417 Strike/Reconnaissance Operational Training Squadron (1968-1983)
stood up at RCAF Station Cold Lake on March 11, 1968, taking over from No.6 Strike/Reconnaissance Operational Training Unit.
They disbanded on July 1, 1983 with the end of CF-104 training.
On April 1, 1993, 417 Combat Support Squadron formed, taking over the duties of the Cold Lake Base Rescue Flight equipped
with the CT-133 Silver Star and CH-146 Griffon helicopter. The CT-133 was retired in 2001.
