redesignated JF-104A (Special Test), July 1963 instructional with 6512th Organizational Maintenance Squadron (AFSC), Edwards AFB, CA September 1964 AFFTC (AFSC), Edward's AFB, CA
October 1964 remodified and redesignated F-104A, wfu January 1968 and to Military Aircraft Storage and Disposition Center, Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ as "FB015" (30.January 1968-22.October 1971)
October 1971 dropped from USAF inventory; DELCON January 25, 1974 for scrapping; mid 70s bought by Darrell Greenamyer and Al Hansen for Red Baron project
it was acquired 1990 by the present owner Scott Vetter; now at South Canton, Michigan where it is being restored to possible flight status by Mr. Scott Vetter as "Michigan 104", 2003 noted
