During 1963 to 1965, under projects "Ali Shan No.2, No.4 and No.5" the 3 Wing received 56 F-104G and 13 TF-104G to equip Squadrons 7, 8 and 28.
After 10 years of service, the survivors were regrouped into two squadrons: 7th and 28th. 8th TFS disbanded in 1975.
