F-104G "4304" 28 TFS of 3 Wing ROCAF at CCK AB (Ching Chuan Kang) F-104G, construction number 683C-4059, model 683-10-19, US serial number 62-12254, built by LockheedROCAF delivery date coded "4304" in 1963 to 7 TFS of 3 Wing flown its entire life with the 3rd TFW (3rd Air Group) and at the end of its career it carried badges of 28th TFS (seen in 1987), 3rd Air Group (1992) and 7th TFS (seen 1996); withdrawn from use around late 1996 after retirement it has been seen as decoy at CCK for a while, at least till 2002 and later it was scrapped. August 24, 1971: airborne the throttle cable was stuck at military power position, and couldn't move. While landing with high speed he overran the runway and crashed. On landing touch down, the aircraft bounced, the nose landing gear broke and tail was bent upwards and failed to hit the net barrier repaired and returned to active service. copyright © ROCAF archive
