F-104A "56-773" of No 9 Air Superiority Squadron Pakistan Air Force at PAF Sargodha F-104A, construction number 183-1061, model 183-93-02, US serial number 56-0773, built by LockheedAugust 30, 1957 available; January 30, 1958 accepted; delivery date January 30, 1958; 83rd FIS (February 1958-October 1958) on June 3, 1958 it was reported that F-104A 56-773 had encountered an accident at Hamilton AFB. It made a precautionary landing right after take-off at Hamilton AFB due to a fire warning. The afterburner burnt a hole in the fuselage It had been damaged but could be repaired later on. Pilot was "Scrappy" Johnson, temporary Squadron Cmdr, survived 538th FIS (October 1958-May 1960); 197th FIS (May60-1962), Arizona ANG 197th FIS at Ramstein AB 1962; 151st FIS/134 FIG Tennessee ANG (May 1962-February 1963) 319th FIS (February 1963-February 1964); MOAAR (Mobile Air-Material Area at Brookley (April 1964-May 1964)
