F-104G "D-8288" 323 squadron formation landing at Leeuwarden 31.July 1980 F-104G, construction number 683D-8288, model 683-10-19, built by FokkerFokker factory construction number 10738; taken on charge at Shiphol December 9, 1964 coded D-8288; 322/323 squadrons pool at Leeuwarden AB September 15, 1967 encountered a bird strike with engine damage, got a new engine and was repaired February 2, 1968 sustained severe damage to the pitottube due to a lightning strike. The pitot head was damaged beyond repair and whole system with pitot had to be replaced April 1, 1969 encountered a birdstrike while landing at Leeuwarden AB damaging its right-hand side wheel door which had to be replaced early June 1974 it sustained severe damage to the air intake and engine due to a birdstrike, aircraft had so much damage that it had to be taken to Fokker Avio Diepen arriving the 27th of June. The engine (nr 414-739) was replaced by engine 414-270 and the total repair took 1.382 manhours. It was given back to Leeuwarden AB again on 15th November 1974 withdrawn from use December 15, 1980
to Turkish Air Force (TuAF serial number 64-8288) on December 15, 1980; coded 4-288 with 142 Filo of 4.AJU at Murted AB crashed February 17, 1982 near homebase Murted AB (Akinci AB) during a training mission.
