TF-104G "D-5807" CAV (Conversie Afdeling Volkel - conversion all-weather flight) RNLAF at Ramstein AB in September 1974

TF-104G, construction number 583E-5807, model 583-10-20, built by Lockheed
It was flown from Lockheed on September 17, 1963 and assembled again in Holland.
Officially delivered to the Dutch Air Force on September 19, 1963; it was assigned a month later, October 20, 1963, to the TDM training squadron where it arrived this day at Twenthe AFB.
In January 1964 it was badly damaged and after repair in the USA it went back to Twenthe where it was handed over to 306 squadron. When the Air Force decided to move 306 squadron to Volkel
this TF-104G was transferred on loan to the Leeuwarden training flight (322 and 323 squadron) on the 30th of January 1968. It stayed at Leeuwarden Air Base between till the 31st of March 1969.
That day it flew to Volkel AFB to follow the just moved 306 squadron again.
All training operations were under control of the CAV and so the D-5807 was assigned to this training squadron at Volkel Air Base.
Twenthe Air Base got this aircraft on loan by TDM from 29 April 1969 till the 4th of September 1969 when it was officially transferred
back to the CAV at Volkel AFB. During that period the TDM squadron at Twenthe Air Base was disbanded. It stayed with the CAV squadron until it was sold to Turkey in 1983.

withdrawn from use and scrapped after 1988.
