with 204 Hikotai landing accident February 8, 1982 at Nyutabaru AB, pilot was ok.

The 204 Squadron was formed on December 1, 1964 at Nyutabaru, with 5th Air Wing, as F-104 conversion training squadron.
The 204 became a fighter interceptor squadron at the end of 1981 due to completion of the F-104 pilot training.
The unit was reequipped with F-15J at their new home base of Hyakuri AB on March 2, 1985.
