F-104J "668" (56-8668) 204th Hikotai of 5th Kokudan JASDF at Tsuiki AB in November 1976 construction number 683B-3168, model 683-07-14, JASDF serial number 56-8668, built by MitsubishiMitsubishi built; February 18, 1965 handed over to Air Self-Defense Force; in 1975/76 noted with 204 Hikotai of 5 Kokudan (Wing) at Nyuutabaru AB June 29, 1977 midair collision with the 56-8675, over the East China Sea, 110 km SW of Nagasaki City, during a low-altitude interception mission, crashed into sea both pilots were killed, bodies were not recovered. copyright © Peter Foster
