F-104G "FX27" Belgian Air Force "Slivers" demonstation team at Ramstein AB in 1972 F-104G, construction number 683D-9082, model 683-10-19, built by SABCAMAP aircraft FX-27, FX27 was initially planned for delivery to the Luftwaffe, but was delivered as a replacement for the first FX-27 that crashed prior to delivery to the Belgian Air Force taken on service June 26, 1964 to 349 squadron; July 9, 1964 at Court-Saint-Etienne, during climb the aircraft was struck by lightning July 24, 1967 at Helchteren the left windscreen cracked, probably by a ricochet August 13, 1969 at Beauvechain heavy shimmy of the nosewheel during take-off, pilot abandons take-off and aircraft is stopped by the barrier; in July 1981 to 10 Wing at Kleine-Brogel
MAP to TuAF on August 8, 1983 coded "64-9082", seen coded "9-082" with 193 Filo, withdrawn from use at Murted AB in 1987 and used as decoy at Bandirma AB in 1989 preserved as "4-082" at Bandirma AB in April 1994; no further information; scrapped. copyright © Peter Doll
