F-104G "FX16" 349 squadron of 1 Wing Belgian Air Force at Beauvechain AB in 1963 F-104G, construction number 683D-9038, model 683-10-19, built by SABCAMAP (Military Assistance Program) aircraft FX15 delivery date and taken on charge October 17, 1963; October 1963 to 350 squadron of 1 Wing crashed December 14,1966 with 1 Wing at L'Ecluse, Belgium after loss of control on approach, pilot (CO 350 Squadron) was killed at the end of the return flight the pilot loses control over the aircraft during a 'pitch up' and crashes near L'Ecluse (Beauvechain), the pilot ejected, but because the aircraft was at an angle of 90° there was not enough time to get a "man/seat separation", the pilot was killed. copyright © Grondstein archive
