F-104G "FX02" 1 Wing Belgian Air Force at Brussels-Melsbroek June 26, 1967 F-104G, construction number 683D-9017, model 683-10-19, built by SABCAFX02 delivery date April 24, 1963; to 350 squadron of 1 Wing April 30, 1963; last flown by 31 squadron of 10 Wing July 1, 1982, withdrawn from use June 20, 1983 to Royal Army Museum July 15, 1991; tail to Evere in 1998 for spare parts of FX52 restoration FX02 has tail of FX47 (it was this combination that was intended to go on the pole at the roundabout at Peer but was replaced by FX94 due to corrosion found on FX02 fuselage) FX02 fuselage was intended to be restored at Kleine-Brogel AB using the tail of FX47; the aircrafts parts of FX41 were used to complete the hybrid FX02 fuselage/FX47 tail on expo in front of block 15 at Kleine Brogel AB; stored in a bad shape 2005 noted; January 31, 2012 FX02 to be restored and become a silver one preserved as display outside the Kleine-Brogel Air Museum; in 2017 it received a wooden-grey color scheme; July 27, 2017 first noted; September 2023 noted.
