CF-104 "701" "Royal Flush" formation of Central Experimental and Proving Establishment (CEPE) in 1963 CF-104, Canadair model CL-90, Lockheed model 683-04-12, Canadair construction number 683A-1001, RCAF serial number 12701, built by Canadairroll-out March 18, 1961, airlifted with C-130B to Lockheed-Palmdale on March 28, 1961 taken on service by RCAF as CF-104 serial number 12701 on March 28, 1961; first flight at Palmdale May 26, 1961 by Ed Brown first unit Central Experimental and Proving Establishment (CEPE), later renamed Aerospace Engineering and Test Establishment (AETE) reserialed as 104701 effective June 1970; stored (AMDU, CFD Mountain View) (date unknown) struck off service February 13, 1985; to O'Connor Aircraft Supplies, Uxbridge, Ontario, in 1985, with Steve Alex in 1985 sold to Fulton Company at Long Beach 1985; preserved PAWF/Paradise Aerial, Int. Apt, Long Beach, California (owner: Wayne Fulton) and displayed 1995; "701" preserved at San Luis Obispo AP in bare metal; noted in June 2002 and October 2002 with the Airborne Turbine Inc. Company at San Luis Obispo in October 2003, near the W. Fulton Air Parts Company has been moved to Chino in 2014 and it is very likely that this aircraft will be restored and added to the display collection; February 2015 noted at boneyard of Yanks Air Museum 2023 noted.
