CF-104D "650" of 1 Canadian Air Group over Germany 1985 CF-104D, Lockheed model 583-04-15, Lockheed construction number 583A-5320, RCAF serial number 12650, Mk.1 (Dual Training Aircraft), built by Lockheedreceived on August 26, 1963 and first served with 6 ST/R OTU at RCAF Station Cold Lake. All Mk 1 duals originally served with the OTU, which later became 417 ST/R (OT) Squadron December 6, 1978 to NWI for DLIR, returned to Cold Lake; Maple Flag at Cold Lake in May 1979; operation "Starleap" (ferry from Cold Lake to Baden-Sollingen) 3 July 1983 to 8 July 1983 some were transferred to 1 Canadian Air Group in Europe fairly late in the CF-104 era and this aircraft was one of those delivered under Operation "Hog Hop" in July 1983 International Air Tattoo (IAT) at RAF Fairford (EGVA) July 1985; July 17, 1985 to MBB for Periodic Inspection; April 28, 1986 as a spare source
