May 27, 1975 to Baden-Sollingen; 104636 was the trial aircraft painted for the variegated camo colors in March 1977 (production painting of the Starfighter fleet took place at Prestwick in Dec 1978)
the full color markings were also a distinct feature of three painted test aircraft which were eventually repainted
October 1982 1 CAG, based at Baden-Sollingen, had a squadron exchange with Dutch Air Force 315 Squadron, flying the NF-5, based at Twenthe AB
