CF-104D "636" RAF full color (high viz) markings in variegated camouflage at Mildenhall, UK August 1978 CF-104D, Lockheed model 583-04-15, Lockheed construction number 583A-5306, RCAF serial number 12636, Mk 1 (Dual Training Aircraft), built by LockheedApril 30, 1962 taken on strength; 12636 delivered to Cold Lake on April 30, 1962 for 6 ST/R OUT; 1970 seen with 1 AD in Europe; reserialed as 104636 effective July 28, 1970 May 27, 1975 to Baden-Sollingen; 104636 was the trial aircraft painted for the variegated camo colors in March 1977 (production painting of the Starfighter fleet took place at Prestwick in Dec 1978) the full color markings were also a distinct feature of three painted test aircraft which were eventually repainted October 1982 1 CAG, based at Baden-Sollingen, had a squadron exchange with Dutch Air Force 315 Squadron, flying the NF-5, based at Twenthe AB Sollingen June 1983 with 439 Squadron during the Tiger Meet; last operational CF-104-flight-in Europe on March 1, 1986; August 12, 1980 assignment 417 Cold Lake June 12, 1978 repair and modification at NWI; August 12, 1980 assignment 417 Cold Lake; January 22, 1982 assignment 1 CAG Baden; struck of service March 11, 1986
