CF-104 "721" CAF of the 4 ATAF team during Tactical Weapons Meet 1969 (TWM69) held at Norvenich AB 1969

CF-104, Canadair Model CL-90, Lockheed Model 683-04-12, construction number 683A-1021, built by Canadair
12721 was chosen for Europe as ground trainer (training aid) for 1 Air Division
721 was airlifted to 427 Squadron of 3 Wing at Zweibrucken on October 11, 1962, not having flown
late 1964/early 1965 it was airlifted back to Canada for reactivation to flying status; and it finally made it's first-ever flight February 9, 1965
this was the very last first flight of any CF-104, (12900 had made its first flight on September 4, 1963); 721 was re-delivered to Europe March 3, 1965
crashed January 7, 1970 with 4 Wing Baden after massive control malfunction in the landing pattern; pilot Capt K.M.Wright did not eject, written off.
