CF-104D N104RB "Starfighters"

"Starfighters" the only fully operational, civilian owned Supersonic Jet Team on the U.S. Air-show circuit

The Starfighter Inc. is a team which was established in January 1995 by Rick Svetkoff and Tom Delashaw.
Two Starfighters were bought from the Thunderbird Aviation at Deer Valley being a CF-104D, which was used for test-jobs and an old ex Jordanian F-104B, still in storage condition.
To be able to fly demonstrations in a way like the famous "Vikings" did in Europe (German Navy) they bought an extra fly worthy Starfighter
because the F-104B was far from ready. In July 1997 Rick bought a CF-104 from Steve Alex and the aircraft was made fly worthy.
Soon after the team was complete and made their first demonstration flights, both wearing different color schemes, the CF-104 not even wearing paint at all, except its white tail.
Early 1998, just before the 1998 season, both aircraft were painted in a beautiful blue-white color scheme.
On the tail and fuselage big commercials markings could be found from their new sponsor "TransWorld". From that moment the team was know as the "TransWorld Starfighters" team.
That year was a big success and a lot of people enjoyed their performance a lot.
However, at the end of the season "TransWorld" decided to stop the sponsorship and the team had to remove the commercial markings.
