F-104A, construction number 183-1023, model 183-93-02, US serial number 56-0735, built by Lockheed
accepted by USAF January 31, 1957 and retained by manufacturer; in March 1957 modified to JF-104A; to Edwards AFB under ARDC for flight testing
in 1959 it was officially transferred to the AFFTC and got a G-tail for testing G-airframe stuff in 1960
it continued its test program until 1961 when it went to Palmdale for conversion towards a QF-104A
September 18, 1961 converted to JQF-104A coded "QFG-735"; July 1962 to 3201 Maintenance Group (AFSC), Eglin AFB, FL
painted Day-Glo with 3205 DS (Drone Squadron) Eglin AFB, FL 1963
barrier engagement on May 9, 1963 with broken nose gear, after repair painted white with 3205 DS Eglin AFB July 1964 (AFSC badge)
September 2, 1964 barrier engagement on landing; shot down June 17, 1965 with AIM-7 by F-4 of USN, 11 drone flights.
