LtCol John David "Rosie" Rosenbaum was the Squadron Commander

434th TFS later became the initial F-104G training squadron and was designated 4443rd CCTS and moved to Luke AFB in 1964
as the initial NATO F-104G training unit, disbanded on January 3, 1962.

note: the flags on the pitot heads were a protest for having to remove the shooting star scheme!
