Luftwaffe pilots are tested for symptoms of lack of oxygen in the vacuum chamber at Fürstenfeldbruck AB Aspiring jet pilots have to prove that they meet the high requirements in order to later be allowed to fly a combat aircraft. For example, they have to recognize the symptoms of a lack of oxygen in the vacuum chamber while remaining able to act at all times. Air Force aircraft crews get to know their individual oxygen deficiency symptoms in a vacuum chamber and train how to behave under such conditions. copyright © Luftwaffe archive
