February 15, 1960 started at Lockheed in Palmdale, California the first "Conversion Flight F-104F" (Umschulungslehrgang)

After 10 days of academics started the flying training, at Palmdale, consisting of 26 flights with about 32 flight hour for each pilot.

After returning to Germany in April 1960 these pilots started the pilot training of Waffenschule 10 at Norvenich AB (4.Staffel Waffenschule 10, F-104F Ausbildungsstaffel).
OTL Rall returned to his office with FüL of the Air Force.
