crashed December 10, 1974 during night landing at Lechfeld AB, the left main wheel collided with some approach lights and collapsed on touchdown,
aircraft skidded off the runway and was heavily damaged (DBR), pilot ejected safely over the runway; parts for spares use (ETG:Ersatzteilgewinnung); scrapped in December 1976.

"Ikarus": project name for 14 F-104G Fighterbomber for the Luftwaffe as attrition replacement aircraft.

Pilot ejected successfully; he is listed as only "leaving the Runway", however on a very hard touchdown during a night landing the left main undercarriage collapsed.
The pilot landed in a barbed wire fence around the HAS area and had to be freed by the fire brigade,
but first they had to find him since nobody had noticed the ejection and the firefighters were quite astonished finding an empty cockpit at the airplane!
