It crashed after takeoff from homebase Balikesir. The pilot was Lt. Ömür Gündüz Topcu (192 Tiger squadron).
After takeoff, the engine lost power as a result of birdstrike and engine stopped at low level altitude. Pilot Lt. Gündüz Topcu tried to take control of the aircraft and flew like that for a while.
He did not want to eject himself because there was a settlement in the area. So he managed to take the aircraft to a safe area and saved many lives by delaying the ejection.
Then he ejected himself succesfull with his Martin-Baker ejection seat and was safe.
